The brief seems straight forward and logical going forward, I feel pretty clear as to what I have been asked to do and confident that I can deliver it (fingers-crossed heheh!).
My main thoughts from the brief:
My reflective blog is so so important to the entire process of P2, the blog is the engine which pushes everything along. I will really need to be extra diligent at creating and posting posts on a regular basis. My posts need to be relavant and effective, I need to show evidence of thorough research of other designers, academics and authorities placing my chosen field in context.
A good quote from the P2 brief is "Your Reflective Blog should be a rich source of ideas, development and critical comments for the design work you undertake in Task 2, and it should show to your readers (tutors and fellow students) the strength of your design thinking as you move towards your final MA Project."
- This task takes up 70% of the mark - Need to make sure I get this section right, thats a lot of points!
- Task 2 is split into 3 areas:
1/ Project Proposal 200- 300 words - Refined clear description of your chosen field.
2/ Summary of your ideas to date 1000 - 1500 words - Summary of main findings from the reflective blog
3/ Body of Development work - Show 5 potential design directions
I can't wait to get started, this project is really what I have been waiting for entire MA. I can really get my teeth stuck into something Im really passionate about!
